ABOUT ME
My artistic career began with working in clay. For 20 years, I sold and exhibited my creations throughout the US. My main emphasis was Raku firing, being attracted to the immediate and tactile results of the technique.
Jewelry and personal adornments have always been a fascination of mine. In 2002 I discovered PMC and shortly thereafter was introduced to the wonders of lampwork. PMC was a natural transition, after so many year of working in clay. The almost magical transformation of the PMC to fine silver never ceases to astound me. Lampwork was absolutely enthralling, forming molten glass into elegant, otherworldly forms. The subtle interactions of the voluptuousness of glass and the alchemy of PMC are boundless and a constant source of delight and inspiration. I have studied with glass artists Marty Meade,Leah Fairbanks,James Smircich, Michael Barley, Andrea Guarino-Slemmons, and others. Metal clay artists I have studied with include Hetty Herman-Minsk, Hadar Jacobson, Mary Ellin D'Agostino, Gordon Uyehara, Cece Wire, and Hattie Sanderson. I am also a Certified Artisan with the PMC Guild.
